Wrote this today wile I trying to see something at the TechTV web page and was getting constant timeouts.

It’s hard to believe, but after 3 months of crappy service I’ve gotten accustomed to the huge pings constant timeouts, DNS blackouts.

The reason for this is very simple (or so I was told) my ISP sold more service then it could provide and that was it. No more online gaming, no more downloading without using a re sumer, no more viewing web pages without the lovely timeout errors.

And still I (well my parents) pay €35 every month for it, am I insane? I’m starting to think so, but what could I do? Get ADSL witch could be pretty much the same? Or go back to dialup?

Right now I just feel cornered and hopeless 🙁 and thinking of other places were the ISP aren’t greedy bastards…

This is a little something I found written in my calculator today…

I’m typing this on a driveway as I wait for a friend to get home, his got something of mine and I want it back.

It did thought of just ask him for it but like many other he his the type that keeps forgetting over and over again, so I’m left here waiting in the hope that he’ll arrive soon or at least in the next 24hours (boy I’m sounding nutty even to myself).

But the thing I’m wondering is why I need to do this in the first place, why do people keep forgetting to return other peoples stuff. In my life I’ve lost more stuff like this then by any other way, stuff I cared like some of my favorite games and music CDs, even work when I was stupid enough to lend a backup CD (never did that again).

It just looks to me that nobody respects other peoples property anymore, I always return what’s not mine, but still I only have one friend that does the same! (If I have to ask more them once it doen’t count) What’s wrong with their world, can someday tell me?

Well it had to happen, I’m not sure for how long but I’m guessing that for about a month my email box has been blocked from incoming mail (maybe It had something to do with enabling/disabling spam assassin).

I can’t believe I didn’t noticed! The fact that I wasn’t getting my newsletter should have been a dead give away.

But now it’s fixed and the mail can flow again ;).

Mostly stuck in the real world, it has been a troubled year so far, hard drive failure toke away around 100GB of unbacked up data, including my mame rom colection (the humanaty).

Then in a freak accident a wrench sliped and hit my motherboard scrathing the surface. It didn’t stop it from working but once in a while I started to get BSOD so I sent it back to see if I could get it replaced (currently I’m using a friends computer), should get an anwser today but I’m not keeping my hopes high.

On the up side I did get reaquainted with TV and it still sucks :p, but once in a while there’s something good to see like a series called Lexx and Samurai Jack a cartoon series that really impressed me by it’s unique style (and I’m not the only one to think soo, see antie momo’s Samurai Jack site).

Also all the down time has allowed me to get some work done on my long time unfinished puzzle, I like puzzles I really do but those skys it will take me ages to finish that bloody things…

That’s where I’ve been and everything I’ve been doing… well, almost everything, theres the matter of Keeper but that’s a diferent story.

Well after all my motherboard wasn’t that ok :(, I’ll be sending it back to RMA today so no computer and no Internet until it gets back.
