I am trying to crack the FREELANCER game and it says that the version is 2.7 or so…..

I never made any safedisc cracking tool, and since the only real tool maker (Booleye) has stopped working (last release on the download list) your out of luck.
But you can still get a patched exe at http://www.megagames.com or similar websites.
